Happy Fourth of July!
Hope you have a fun day celebrating with friends and family.

This weeks Sweet Melissa Recipe was a Fruit Pie, I knew that I was all in.

Fresh Georia Peaches and Raspberries from the Farmers Market
I talked Denae into helping me peal and slice them

I didn't make the SMS pie crust.
Instead I made an old stand by that I love.
Simple
Only difference is no butter and it is usually to die for.

The fruit cut up with a zest of a lemon , sugar and cornstarch.
The recipe called for Tapioca , I didn't have it and really didn't miss it either.

It was beautiful

And delicious!

Thanks Rebecca of Beurrista for choosing this pie.
It was a perfect choice for the day.

Looks great! Glad you enjoyed it, and I'm sure the help was appreciated!
Debbie your pie looks awesome. Glad to hear it tasted as good as it looks! I also left out the tapioca...subbed flour instead.
Always nice to have a helper in the kitchen. I talked my niece into helping me and we had a blast!
What a beautiful pie! I used frozen peaches, which made me happy since slicing the peaches is my least favorite part of baking with them. You were lucky to have a helper :)
Yum, Looks and Sounds wonderful.
