No Sweet Melissa Sunday this week

This week I decided not to do the SMS dessert. It was Guinness Gingerbread made with a Guinness Stout. I am all about trying something new but didn't think my family would eat this. Last year I made a regular gingerbread mix that you just add chocolate chips to and no one liked it. My father-in-law was the only one that ate a piece and the girls hated it.

So I thought I would pass this week but you can check it out at Katiecakes, Katie picked this week and I'm sure she will let us know if it turned out.

I did have a busy week though...

Someone from office was on vacation and I took on her case load.

I have been telling my husband every night I am so glad that I don't have to work all the time , it is exhausting.I do, however, feel like I got closer to the patients that I saw but nonetheless, it was overwhelming.

With working and all, our kids continued in all their last days school concerts.

Denae and her jazz band made a guest appearance at our local mall.

Notice the cute necklace that girl doesn't leave the house without all the accessories.

DeAnn had her last 8th grade concert with her Cougar Singers at their Spring Fling.

And our Saturday was spent doing a major redo of our 9th soon to be 10th graders room.

This is a sneak peak.

This was her room before, the room she redid on her birthday when she was either 9 or 10. It was a tye dye room. She had yellow walls, with hanging beads, tye dye bedding

and still in bunk beds.

We did a more contemporary , grown up teen room.

I'll post later in the week when we get it all finished.

Needless to say, it has been busy....
